(5819) Rock-filled crib coffer dam
A water coffer dam built up of timber poles forming cribs and filled with rock. Water-tightness may be developed by earthfill on the water side or lining a chamber of the crib with vertical sheathing and filling this with earth or clay or a facing of double layer of surfaced and tight-fitting planking or sheet piles.
